The decor and décor of the home of the late John McArthur is one of the most popular items on his estate.
The family home, which was built in 1911 and is still owned by McArthur, was a “bubbly, fun, and entertaining place” with a “wonderful array of decorations, and a collection of antique pieces,” according to a profile in The New York Times.
The McArthurs’ decor includes an old-fashioned wooden porch, two-story front porch, and many of the decor pieces were created for the home by the family’s craftsmen.
Some of the items include a “lazy susan” with “a bright green flower on the stem,” an “embellished blue and white flower on a white tablecloth,” and a “tattered blue blanket.”
